Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Manager who will be responsible for holistic patient assessment, tailored nursing care plans, direct clinical care, triage, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, results management, and maintaining electronic documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical, mental, and psychosocial health status.
- Administer prescribed medications, perform clinical procedures, and manage wound care.
- Efficiently triage urgent phone inquiries and unscheduled walk-in emergencies.
- Partner closely with an integrated care team to optimize treatment adherence and outcomes.
- Deliver personalized education regarding complex diagnoses and treatment regimens.
- Advocate for patients to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Maintain meticulous, timely records within the EHR system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
- 2+ years’ experience in nursing, preferably in an outpatient primary care medical setting/FQHC with 6mo-1yr being peds experience.
- Must possess basic computer skills, including experience with HRIS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- CPR certification required or willingness to obtain within 60 days of employment.
- Strong understanding of clinical care and the importance of support staff.
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance, demonstrate discretion, and initiative.
