Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant Technician to join their team. The primary responsibilities include administering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments, assisting physicians with procedures, managing patient intake, and maintaining a welcoming clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer TMS: Deliver treatments following physician plans and safety protocols.
- Mapping & Placement: Perform motor thresholds, assist with mapping, and ensure precise coil placement.
- Monitor & Document: Track patient tolerance, side effects, and log clinical notes in the EMR.
- Patient Education: Explain TMS mechanisms, set expectations, and advise on optimizing outcomes.
- Maintain Equipment: Clean, calibrate, and troubleshoot TMS devices.
- Patient Intake: Room patients, take vitals, collect histories, and reconcile medications.
- Assist Procedures: Support physicians with neurologic/pain procedures (setup, sterile tech, positioning).
- EMR & Scales: Manage charts, consents, and clinical scales (PHQ-9, GAD-7, pain inventories).
- Care Coordination: Handle prior authorizations, scheduling, and patient follow-ups.
- Clinic Environment: Maintain a calm, organized, and welcoming clinical space.
- Continuous Learning: Expand knowledge in neuroscience, neuromodulation, and brain health.
- Process Improvement: Help refine clinical protocols, educational materials, and outcomes tracking.
- Career Growth: Deepen clinical expertise and grow long-term with the practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, or related field.
- EMT Training.
- BLS Certification.
- Experience with EMR.
Skills
- Technical skills: EMR Experience, BLS, familiarity with TMS, neuromodulation, EEG, or other brain-based therapies.
- Soft skills: Communication, teamwork, patient education, and care coordination.
Schedule/Shift
- Tuesday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Monday is an admin day where individuals can make up hours.
