Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Front Desk Specialist responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and handling financial aspects such as insurance verification and payment collection. The goal is to ensure smooth clinic operations and provide excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations: Greet patients warmly, manage check-in and check-out processes, and ensure completion of intake paperwork accurately.
- Phone Management: Efficiently handle incoming calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate staff, or assist patients with their questions.
- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and manage patient appointments for optimal clinic workflow and minimal wait times.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility prior to appointments for accurate billing.
- Payment Collection: Inform patients of copay responsibilities and collect co-payments at the time of service.
- Account Discussions: Discuss account balances, payment plans, or collections statuses with patients professionally.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in healthcare administration.
- Strong customer service skills, including managing high volume of inbound phone calls.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced medical setting.
- OBGYN experience is a plus.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
