Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Scheduler to manage surgical procedures and pre-admission testing efficiently. The primary goal is to prevent conflicts and delays by scheduling accurately and managing daily operational changes in a high-pressure environment. The role requires excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and medical personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately schedule surgical procedures and secure necessary patient and insurance data.
- Manage daily operational changes and adapt to high-pressure environments.
- Communicate with patients, physicians, and departments regarding schedules.
- Ensure adherence to scheduling protocols and procedures.
- Handle phone communications promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate complex procedures requiring extensive resources or time.
- Demonstrate effective time management and adapt to changes.
- Prepare, distribute, analyze, and report scheduling data as required.
- Report safety issues and participate in quality improvement and training.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Office Experience
- Medical Billing Experience
- Preferred: EPIC Experience
- Preferred: Previous Surgery Scheduling Experience
Schedule/Shift
Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm (depending on the provider).
