Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Scheduler to manage surgical procedures and pre-admission testing efficiently. The primary goal is to prevent conflicts and delays by scheduling accurately and managing daily operational changes in a high-pressure environment. The role requires excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and medical personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately schedule surgical procedures and secure necessary patient and insurance data.
• Manage daily operational changes and adapt to high-pressure environments.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and departments regarding schedules.
• Ensure adherence to scheduling protocols and procedures.
• Handle phone communications promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate complex procedures requiring extensive resources or time.
• Demonstrate effective time management and adapt to changes.
• Prepare, distribute, analyze, and report scheduling data as required.
• Report safety issues and participate in quality improvement and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Medical Office Experience
• Medical Billing Experience
• Preferred: EPIC Experience
• Preferred: Previous Surgery Scheduling Experience

Schedule/Shift

Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm (depending on the provider).
