Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Specialized Clinical/Imaging Role
Location: Kansas City, MO (KC Research Hospital Campus)
Position Type: Part-Time (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM) Note: Shift length may occasionally vary based on the procedure schedule.
Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00 / hour (Based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our specialized clinical team in Kansas City. In this unique role, you will work under the direct supervision of our physicians to assist with essential diagnostic radiology procedures (including fistulograms, thrombectomies, and tunneled dialysis catheter insertions/exchanges) for kidney patients.
While you do not need prior radiology experience, you must be a certified medical assistant ready to learn. Full, specific training will be provided upon hire to ensure you can confidently operate clinical imaging equipment and carry out post-procedure imaging tasks.
Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operations: Safely position and move the C-Arm X-ray machine under the direct, real-time supervision and instruction of the physician (all radiation exposure is controlled strictly by the doctor).

Imaging & Documentation: Control the display screen, pull up requested images, adjust settings, and print correct images for patient charts post-procedure.

System Management: Upload and send saved images to the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).

Patient Care: Adhere to departmental policies to meet patient needs, ensuring safety, risk management, and quality care standards are met.

Routine Consistency: Deliver dependable care for a routine, predictable patient base experiencing similar cases.
Position Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.

Skills: Strong clinical and patient care skills, including taking vitals, lab preparation, and basic testing.

Compliance & Privacy: Deep understanding of and compliance with HIPAA regulations; absolute commitment to maintaining patient and employee privacy.

Teamwork & Communication: Strong, respectful communication skills with a proven track record of maintaining positive working relationships with peers, management, and patients.
