Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Billing Manager responsible for leading a dedicated team in our Mesa RCM hub, overseeing the full billing lifecycle for specific emergency and non-emergency medical transport markets. This role extends beyond oversight to actively coach and develop a team of approximately 20 specialists, ensuring claims are meticulously handled. The Billing Manager will optimize revenue and cash flow, enhancing the financial journey for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Direct a team of billing specialists, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
- Operational Excellence: Manage daily billing workflows to ensure maximum efficiency and First Pass Accuracy.
- Performance Management: Monitor KPIs and intervene to maintain peak performance.
- Process Transformation: Implement automated workflows and best practices in collaboration with the Support & Transformation team.
- Revenue Protection: Drive clean-claim rates and insurance discovery initiatives.
- Collaborative Oversight: Work with cross-functional teams to improve the RCM roadmap.
- Compliance Stewardship: Ensure adherence to HIPAA, CMS guidelines, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards.
Qualifications
- RCM/Medical Billing Experience: Proven background in Revenue Cycle Management or healthcare operations within a high-volume environment.
- Leadership Track Record: Experience in a formal people-management role or as a strong informal leader.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with billing platforms and various payor portals.
- Analytical Literacy: Ability to interpret dashboards and manage staffing and productivity.
- Preferred Skills: Experience with EMS/Ambulance Operations and Automation Implementation.
Additional Requirements
Flexibility is required to support varied shifts, including weekends or holidays, to meet month-end or critical project needs.
