Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist responsible for performing dating imaging for medication abortion patients and maintaining optimal equipment functionality. The role involves various types of ultrasound procedures and assisting in maintaining medical records and facility cleanliness while ensuring accurate information is communicated to patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform dating imaging for medication abortion patients.
- Approximately 26 scans per day including new and follow-up patients.
- Perform fetal ultrasound for prenatal care.
- Perform transvaginal and abdominal ultrasounds for various purposes.
- Maintain medical records using the electronic health record system.
- Ensure facility cleanliness and equipment functionality.
- Participate in quality assurance and risk management processes.
- Provide accurate patient information while maintaining confidentiality.
- Adhere to HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
- Comply with state laws regarding abortion services and mandatory reporting.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent education
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate
- Certifications from ARDMS, RDMS, or a CAAHEP/ARRT-accredited program
Qualifications
- Ability to work in an environment with protesters at the entrance.
- Nice to have: OB-GYN or Maternal-Fetal Medicine experience.
- Preferred experience with Epic EMR system.
