Job Summary
Our client seeks a Referral Specialist responsible for managing patient referrals and handling communication with referring doctors. The role involves scheduling appointments, maintaining patient data, and providing bilingual support.
Key Responsibilities
- Calling referred patients via email, fax, and phone.
- Follow-up with patients to schedule appointments.
- Communicating with the referring Doctor’s office regarding mutual patients.
- Assisting with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and providing call center and front desk support as needed.
- Organizing interpreting for ASL patients.
- Managing, organizing, and maintaining patient data, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and legal requirements.
- Scanning, indexing, and retrieving electronic and paper records, managing data entry, and handling release-of-information requests.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- 1 year of experience in Patient Referrals.
- Basic knowledge of Insurance and Checkout procedures.
Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Basic knowledge of Insurance and Checkout procedures.
- Experience with new software or the ability to quickly learn a new referral system.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of Checkout procedures and how referrals impact the full patient lifecycle.
