Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician responsible for supporting patient care and management with cardiac implantable devices, such as pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders. This role involves device monitoring, clinical support tasks, and coordination of care, ensuring accurate documentation and patient communication while adhering to clinical standards. The candidate must be able to float to various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interrogation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and reprogramming support for pacemakers, ICDs, and implantable loop recorders, including remote device monitoring.
- Coordinate ongoing care and follow-up for patients with cardiac devices, ensuring timely communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff.
- Review and present patient device data to physicians and promptly escalate any abnormal findings or concerns.
- Accurately document device data, generate reports, upload information into systems, and prepare review letters for physician signature.
- Enter billing codes and maintain precise clinical records in accordance with practice requirements.
- Support scheduling needs for device clinics and coordination with vendors and manufacturer representatives.
- Enroll patients in remote monitoring systems and provide education on device usage and follow-up expectations.
- Assist with general medical assistant duties such as rooming patients, taking vitals, performing EKGs, and reviewing medications.
- Perform additional tasks such as INR testing, prescription refills, and handling inquiries from patients and external providers.
- Manage incoming clinical communications and messages from remote monitoring services.
- Maintain and troubleshoot clinical equipment, adhering to safety and maintenance protocols.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and organizational guidelines.
- Maintain positive patient experience and confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and leadership to support efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care.
- Rotate across locations and adapt to staffing needs and assigned duties.
- Participate in training, in-services, and quality improvement activities to maintain competency and certification requirements.
- Communicate workflow concerns or operational issues to management in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) certification required.
- Must be able to float to all locations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current CPR certification (BLS or ACLS required).
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a cardiac or cardiology setting required.
- Prior experience with cardiac implantable devices preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency with clinical systems for charting, messaging, and documentation.
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Schedule/Shift
Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
