Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant to support their medical team in providing top-tier care and customer service. This role is contract-to-hire, aiming to retain exceptional employees and offers flexible shift schedules with no floating during shifts. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for both clinical and admin duties, ensuring seamless operation within the healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform front desk coverage, manage referrals, take vitals, and dispense medications as necessary.
- Conduct clinical and clerical work as required based on volume and capacity.
- Provide care for patients, emphasizing effective communication and professionalism, especially with irate patients.
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed, with potential overtime available.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Willingness to be cross-trained for admin and clinical duties.
- MA diploma or certification; medical receptionist potential with clinical experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills
- Customer service and multitasking abilities.
- Patience and professionalism in handling difficult patients.
- Basic clinical skills like performing vital signs, rooming, drawing medications, and urine tests.
Experience
- Minimum 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.
- Preferred experience in pain management.
