Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Payment Specialist to join their dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is to process telephonic payment inquiries and manage initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while delivering high-level customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Responds to, records, and processes telephonic payment inquiries.
- Responsible for both initial and ongoing payment processing for insurance products.
- Navigate internal systems to identify the amount a member owes and determine payment deadlines.
- Work simultaneously in multiple computer programs to manage member data and process transactions accurately.
- Maintain a high level of service while managing fluctuating call volumes, which can exceed 1,000 calls per day during peak seasons.
- Ensure consistent phone coverage during operating hours, typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Maintain high technical expertise and quality scores while processing back-to-back calls.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma at least.
- 1 year minimum experience in taking payments in retail or call center finance role.
- Collections experience is preferred.
Skills
- Technical skills: Proficient in using multiple computer programs simultaneously.
- Soft skills: Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.

- Potential for extended hours/weekends during peak enrollment seasons (January).
- Hybrid schedule eligibility after training.
