Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance/Healthcare Representative responsible for managing patient accounts, resolving outstanding insurance claims, preparing payment plans, and providing customer service to practices and patients. The role requires proficiency in handling patient and insurance communications, maintaining accurate account records, and collaborating with various departments to fulfill requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Research inquiries regarding patient balances and outstanding insurance claims.
- Resolve delinquent accounts, prepare payment plans, and monitor adherence by guarantors.
- Post data, verify and perform mathematical computations, and maintain files.
- Compose and type correspondence, memos, letters, and appeals.
- Collaborate with practices to obtain necessary documentation for patients, insurance carriers, or other areas.
- Identify patient accounts for collection when delinquent or unable to contact.
- Explain insurance processing and balances due to patients.
- Contact payors/insurance companies as needed for practice requests.
- Enter contact notes related to communications regarding accounts.
- Provide excellent customer service to practices and patients.
- Communicate with patients via phone and other methods.
- Maintain a minimum of 30 accounts worked per shift from emails, patient calls, or work queue reports.
- Return all practice and patient calls, emails, and communications within 48 hours.
Qualifications
- At least three (3) years’ experience in healthcare or dental patient & insurance AR experience.
- Strong understanding of dental and medical insurance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience

Additional Requirements
Role requires onsite attendance for two weeks during training, then offers remote work from Mon-Fri, 1pm-10pm.
