Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Infusion Specialist to join their interdisciplinary team in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting. The primary responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care, disease and drug-specific education, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and ACHC regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting.
- Effectively utilize the nursing process to assess and care for patients.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a professional, ethical, knowledgeable, and compassionate manner.
- Provide disease and drug-specific education to patients and caregivers.
- Comply with HIPAA and ACHC regulations.
- Participate in on-call rotation as assigned for AIC nurses.
- Travel to outlying clinics as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of medical/nursing practices by participating in educational in-services.
- Accurately perform all nursing duties according to the state nurse practice act while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice - North Carolina.
- 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Current BLS
- Proficiency in partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to cope with an ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
- Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships.
Experience
- 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Specific experience in infusion therapy administration and central line care.
Skills
- Technical skills in IV insertion and management, as well as infusion therapy administration.
- Soft skills include teamwork and adaptability under pressure.
Additional Requirements
- Participates in on-call rotation and may need to travel to outlying clinics.
