Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
Location: Rohnert Park, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Compensation: $187,200 – $228,800 annually (DOE)

Position Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Pharmacist-in-Charge to lead our clinical operations in Rohnert Park. This role is designed for a clinical expert who thrives in the specialty and infusion space, balancing rigorous regulatory oversight with high-touch patient care. You will be responsible for the safety, appropriateness, and effectiveness of pharmaceutical care while providing leadership to a dedicated team of technicians and support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment & Patient Care:
- Evaluate patient suitability for home-based infusion and specialty medication therapy.
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive patient care plans and drug monitoring regimens.
- Assess medical conditions and prognoses to define and achieve clear therapeutic outcome goals.
- Operational Leadership:
- Provide direct oversight of pharmacy technicians and support personnel to ensure operational excellence.
- Serve as the primary point of clinical communication between patients, physicians, nursing staff, and the broader healthcare team.
- Compounding & Quality Assurance:
- Perform and oversee the aseptic compounding of intravenous and specialty pharmaceuticals.
- Ensure strict adherence to USP 797sterile guidelines, USP 800 hazardous drug handling, and company-specific policies.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Maintain absolute compliance with FDA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and OSHA standards.
- Uphold all department policies and procedures to ensure a "survey-ready" environment at all times.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted California Pharmacist License.
- Professional Experience: Extensive experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
- Specialized Knowledge: Proven background in a Specialty Pharmacy or Hospital Clean Room environment.
- Leadership: Previous experience as a PIC or significant clinical experience with a strong aptitude and willingness to step into a leadership/PIC capacity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior managerial or Pharmacist-in-Charge experience.
- Advanced expertise in the specialty pharmacy sector.
- Deep technical proficiency in USP 797 standards and sterile compounding.
