Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Credit Specialist to manage and resolve high-volume accounts receivable credit balances by investigating overpayments and determining root causes. The role involves maintaining expert-level navigation of various third-party payer portals, facilitating claim adjustments, and managing internal accounting queues with high accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit Balance Resolution: Audit and resolve credit balances by investigating overpayments and determining root causes.
- Payer Relations & Technical Proficiency: Navigate various third-party payer portals to facilitate refunds, retractions, and adjustments.
- Workflow Management: Manage internal accounting queues, resolving 30+ accounts daily with high accuracy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required- proof of documents will be required)
- Advanced computer proficiency in troubleshooting, Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook (required)
- Experience in healthcare and medical insurance claim overpayment remediation or accounting transactions or medical billing/accounting systems (required)
- Quality work-from-home setup, free of distractions.
- Knowledge or experience with Medicare Advantage insurance payers (strongly preferred)
- RCM Credits experience
