Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. The primary responsibilities include installations of various fixtures, handling furniture management, executing complex repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance on facility systems. The ideal candidate will diagnose issues with facility systems and ensure ergonomic equipment is properly installed and adjusted for user comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installations of wall shelving, artwork, cabinets, and other fixtures.
• Handle dismantling, assembling, installing, and moving furniture as needed for space reconfiguration.
• Execute complex repairs and maintenance tasks, including wall patching, painting, and minor carpentry.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on facility systems ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Diagnose issues with facility systems and equipment, coordinating with external vendors as necessary for complex repairs.
• Install, adjust, and repair ergonomic equipment such as adjustable desks, monitor arms, keyboard trays, and chairs to ensure user comfort and proper workstation ergonomics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1 year of related experience
• Extensive experience using standard hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work in laboratory environments, including potential exposure to lasers and biohazards
• 5+ years of experience in a commercial, laboratory, or industrial facility, with increasing responsibilities in operations and maintenance
• Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
• Ability to multitask, learn, and train on new techniques
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and ServiceNow Work Order Management System.
