Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant responsible for preparing examination rooms, escorting patients, obtaining vital information, and assisting healthcare professionals during exams and procedures. The role includes performing Point of Care testing, administering injections, managing patient flow, updating electronic medical records, and coordinating with external services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits by cleaning, sterilizing, and stocking supplies.
- Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain pertinent information, including vital signs and health history.
- Assist physicians or Advanced Practice Nurses during exams and procedures.
- Perform Point of Care testing and administer intramuscular and Sub Q injections.
- Schedule appointments and handle referrals and prior authorizations.
- Manage and update patient information in EPIC system.
- Coordinate with pharmacies, labs, and imaging services.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some Medical Assistant experience
- Problem-solving and clinical experience
- Ability to administer injections, perform EKGs, and take manual blood pressure
- Injection training
- Positive attitude
- Preferred: EPIC experience

Additional Requirements
- Flexibility in schedule with the potential for early dismissal to not exceed 40 hours when Saturday work is included.
