Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Help Desk Lead to assist with Windows 11 upgrades and help the local team assess transition issues. The role is a contract position with potential for extension, requiring on-site presence five days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in the system deployment and imaging process, involving building, imaging, and configuring new devices for end-users.
- Assist with the post-deployment cleanup of the Windows 11 rollout, addressing outstanding issues and ensuring systems functionality.
- Proactively manage and resolve support tickets related to the new system deployment with advanced troubleshooting and solutions.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting for diagnostics and repairs across hardware, software, and network issues.
- Handle localized IT tasks and projects, including peripheral setup, user data migration, and IT infrastructure support.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in IT Help Desk or Desktop Support role.
- Proven expertise in building, imaging, and deploying new computer systems.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and system deployment and migration experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist end-users.
Experience
- 5+ years in an IT Help Desk or Desktop Support role.
- Experience with Windows 11 upgrades and desktop imaging.
Skills
- Windows 11 upgrade experience.
- Experience with JIRA and Active Directory.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to work on-site in the designated office from Monday to Friday, 8-5 Central time.
