Job Summary
We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our well-established multi-specialty ophthalmology practice. Our client is committed to delivering outstanding patient care in a collaborative and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities
- Collect patient histories and assist ophthalmologists with clinical evaluations.
- Perform preliminary eye exams including vision testing and pupillary assessments.
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic imaging.
- Assist physicians during minor procedures, laser treatments, and crosslinking.
- Coordinate patient flow between exam and imaging areas.
- Administer ophthalmic medications as certified.
- Assist with both clinical and administrative tasks to support efficient clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working as an Ophthalmic Technician
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment.
- Familiarity with standard medical office procedures and workflows.
- Ability to support practice operations through administrative duties, indirect clinical activities, and other assigned responsibilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification.
