Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Practice Administrator, responsible for efficiently managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and providing essential administrative support in an ambulatory care setting. The role demands excellent customer service skills and familiarity with electronic health records to ensure a smooth and patient-centered experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors, utilizing excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Scheduling MRI's, CT scans, Mammograms, X-rays and all radiology procedures.
- Review and manage patient schedules to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies proactively.
- Perform patient registration, verify insurance, and manage electronic health record updates.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments, referrals, and surgical scheduling as per provider's request.
- Handle patient inquiries and educate on the benefits of the patient portal.
- Provide administrative support to physicians and ensure policy compliance.
- Respond promptly to patient communications and manage time-of-service payments.
- Lead and facilitate team discussions to resolve complex scheduling issues.
- Collaborate with staff and management to optimize workflow and resolve operational challenges.
Qualifications
- 5 years of healthcare experience as a medical secretary and within a radiology setting.
- Proficiency in using EPIC (preferred).
- Experience with scheduling radiology procedures including: X-rays, MRI's, CT scans, Mammograms, Sonograms and more.
