Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager responsible for leading and training teams in insurance billing, staff oversight, operational management, and technical accuracy. The role involves developing revenue cycle metrics and ensuring compliance with Medicare regulations, while preparing various reporting packages.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Instill trust and provide a working environment for open communication and idea improvement for the team.
- Manage Insurance Billing (12-15 billers), Follow-up (15-20 staff), Cash Posting (5 staff), Credit Balances (3 reps), and Administrative Support.
- Drive cash and accounts receivable (AR) account resolution while managing expected reimbursement variance and payer escalations.
- Ensure accuracy of CPT4, HCPCS, and Revenue Codes (UB04s) across departments.
- Develop and execute projects to reduce aged A/R and enhance collections; manage client service level metrics and KPI improvement.
- Act as a technical resource for Medicare regulations; oversee Medicare Bad Debt Log documentation and ensure adherence to HIPAA, State, and Federal rules.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reporting packages, including Key Indicator Reports and Billing Scrubber reports.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- Hospital Revenue Cycle experience is mandatory.
- 4-5+ years of management/leadership experience in hospital Patient Financial Services (PFS).
- Strong AR acumen and ability to make quick, sound judgments.
- Understanding of hospital-specific billing (UB04s, Rev Codes, and type of bills).
Schedule / Shift
Flexible hours between 7:00/8:30 AM and 4:00/5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
