Copay Assistance Specialist
Location: Overland Park, KS (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $18–$20/hour
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing healthcare organization seeking a Copay Assistance Specialist to support their Revenue Cycle team. This position plays a key role in helping patients navigate financial assistance programs while ensuring accurate billing support. It’s a fast-paced environment best suited for someone highly detail-oriented who enjoys multitasking and working cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Process credit card payments accurately and securely
• Assist patients with financial statements and income verification
• Communicate patient financial responsibilities to clinical staff
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality
• Coordinate with pharmaceutical representatives for patient enrollment in assistance programs
• Support insurance reverification processes
• Participate in team trainings and contribute to training resources
• Attend team meetings and assist with additional responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience in medical billing or healthcare administration (preferred)
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across teams and with patients
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
