Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Cash Posting Specialist to manage all facets of payment processing. This role includes posting of accounts receivable payments, managing credit balance workloads, and ensuring transactional accuracy for patient and client accounts.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of payment processing and independently executes responsibilities.
- Responsible for on-line posting of all accounts receivable payments and balancing systems.
- Posts the daily deposit and prepares payment summary information for Accounting and Business Office Management.
- Supervises cash application specialists, cash/adjustment systems, and internal processes.
- Manages credit balance workloads and responds to external and internal inquiries timely.
- Accurately identifies and posts payment and adjustment transactions to patient accounts, client accounts, and the general ledger.
- Ensures correct contractual adjustments are posted and batches over-the-counter payments.
- Balances control logs, daily deposits, and electronic funds transfer amounts to electronic remits.
- Oversees account reconciliation, cash reconciliation, and balancing daily deposits/control logs.
- Ensures appropriate separation of duties and complies with established audit procedures and governmental regulations.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree: + 5 years relevant experience.
- Associate’s Degree: + 7 years relevant experience.
- High School Diploma: + 9 years relevant experience.
Qualifications
- MUST have a hospital setting background working in cash posting leadership position (Team Lead or Supervisor).
Schedule / Shift
Monday - Friday, normal business hours. Hybrid: two days in office each week.
