Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join their team. The primary responsibilities include preparing and compounding sterile IV medications, maintaining aseptic techniques, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role involves rotating between pharmacy operations and cleanroom compounding responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound sterile IV medications in accordance with USP <797> guidelines and company policies
- Rotate between pharmacy operational duties and cleanroom compounding responsibilities
- Maintain aseptic technique and ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
- Accurately label, package, and prepare medications for patient delivery
- Assist pharmacists with order preparation, inventory management, and documentation
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications and supplies
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License (required)
- PTCB Certification (required)
- IV Certification (required)
- Prior infusion or sterile compounding experience (required)
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills (preferred)
Additional Requirements
Schedule: Tuesday–Friday 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM; Saturday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. On-call: 1 weekend every 8th week (Saturday after shift through Monday at 8:00 AM).
