Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Office Representative to manage patient coordination and scheduling. The role involves responsibilities such as handling patient records, providing patient-centered care, and supporting operational quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage appointments: Schedule, confirm, and revise patient visits; conduct follow-ups for missed appointments.
- Pre-visit planning: Utilize registries and medical records to prepare for patient needs and verify insurance coverage prior to arrival.
- Front-desk reception: Greet patients and caregivers with a professional, team-oriented approach to ensure high-quality service.
- Information management: Accurately gather and process demographic, billing, and referral data in the EHR.
- Data integrity: Maintain confidential patient charts, including the timely scanning and importing of documents.
- Financial transactions: Verify demographic accuracy, identify financial barriers, and collect payments at the time of service.
- Deliver respectful, culturally sensitive care tailored to individual patient values.
- Work with clinical teams to address communication barriers and support holistic patient wellness.
- Handle professional telephone correspondence and ensure accurate messaging between patients and providers.
- Participate in clinic meetings and quality measure initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Ensure work and patient areas remain clean and well-stocked.
- Cross-train for various clerical roles and perform other related duties as assigned to support team operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Office Experience
- EMR Knowledge
- Insurance Knowledge
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: EPIC Experience
