Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Surgery Scheduler who will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures. This role involves collaborating with physicians, hospitals, and surgical facilities to ensure surgeries are scheduled accurately, insurance requirements are fulfilled, and all necessary documentation and communication are completed to support a seamless surgical process and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities

Surgical Logistics Management: Strategically synchronize physician availability with hospital and surgical facility calendars to secure operating room time and optimize the procedural schedule.

Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, anesthesia teams, and facility staff to confirm and communicate critical surgery details, locations, and timings.

Adaptive Scheduling: Proactively manage surgical case adjustments, including rescheduling and cancellations, to maintain departmental workflow efficiency and minimize gaps in care.

Documentation & Compliance: Orchestrate the collection and verification of essential pre-operative paperwork, including surgical consents and clinical clearances, ensuring all records are audit-ready.

Data Integrity & EHR Management: Maintain high-fidelity surgical logs within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, tracking the lifecycle of each case from initial booking through completion.

Performance Metrics & Support: Facilitate departmental growth by assisting with data entry, surgical volume tracking, and the reporting of key scheduling metrics to leadership.
