Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care. This role involves assisting with patient examinations, performing basic clinical procedures, and managing front office tasks while maintaining a professional and compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities

Clinical Intake & Assessment: Direct the patient preparation process by accurately capturing vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints to support efficient provider examinations.

Provider & Procedural Assistance: Serve as a primary clinical aide during exams and minor procedures, including the administration of medications and injections within the established scope of practice.

Diagnostic & Lab Services: Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection while maintaining meticulous documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Patient Coordination & Communication: Facilitate seamless patient care by managing appointments, coordinating follow-ups, and handling clinical inquiries, including prescription refill requests and phone triage.

Clinical Environment Stewardship: Oversee the sanitation and sterilization of medical instruments and exam rooms, while managing inventory levels and the procurement of clinical supplies.

Compliance & Data Integrity: Ensure total adherence to HIPAA and OSHA protocols while verifying patient demographics and insurance details to support practice accuracy and safety.
