Job Summary
Our client is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive healthcare services including physical exams, preventive health measures, and development of patient care plans. The practitioner will also prescribe treatments, manage patient records, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
- Perform procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
- Develop and manage patient care plans, record progress, and ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
- Prescribe or recommend treatments, including medications and therapies.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Maintain and update patient health records accurately.
- Educate and coach nursing staff on best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Maintains state RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice.
- Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable).
- Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
- State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required.
- Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required).
- Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing.
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required.
