Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The primary responsibilities include conceiving and developing concepts, completing the detailed machine design and components necessary to build high-speed packaging systems, and coordinating various aspects of equipment construction.
Key Responsibilities
- The engineer will be assigned to a senior project manager and will conceive, develop, and complete detailed machine designs and components.
- Coordinate various aspects of building and integrating high-speed packaging equipment.
- Design and build complex machinery systems akin to automated packaging or assembly lines used to produce medical products.
- Develop one-off systems that are high-speed, multi-station, and have budgets of $2-3MM.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- 7-10+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
- Experience in OEM industries or manufacturing companies with packaging capabilities
- Hands-on machinery design experience preferably with firms that design production automation
Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CADD software; experience with AutoCAD is a plus
- Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma Tools, Lean Manufacturing, Automation, and Capital Projects experience is beneficial
