Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with the daily operations of various Pharmacy Department programs and projects. The role primarily includes making outbound calls to members, prescribers, and pharmacies for the Adherence program, supporting CMS required oversight processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position is in a call center environment with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Assist with daily operations of Pharmacy Department programs and projects.
- Participate in audits for Plan and regulatory agencies.
- Make a high volume of outbound calls related to the Adherence program.
- Assist members in refilling medications and communicate with prescribers for additional refills.
- Draft routine reports and correspondence.
- Support CMS required oversight processes of PBM, including Rebates and Benefit reports.
- Respond to inquiries from physicians, members, and pharmacies regarding formulary and benefits.
- Retrieve accurate and timely drug information.
- Interact with contracted PBM for communications and resolving issues regarding medications.
- Make outbound calls to resolve prescription issues such as Prior Authorizations.
- Collaborate with internal departments for pharmacy-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA by maintaining confidentiality of member information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications
- Pharmacy Tech license required.
- 1 year of experience required.
- Preferred experience in Insurance, Call Center, Customer Service, or Retail.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience is required.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
