Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Lead Medical Coordinator responsible for coordinating team-based medical care for children in the center. The role involves maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with medical information uploads, and participating in resource development for discharges. This position also requires the supervision of department employees and participation in planning and implementing medical needs for designated social service programs.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Coordinate team-based medical care for children placed in the center.
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with agency policies.
- Review compliance with medical information upload requirements.
- Provide medical updates to sponsors and clients.
- Participate in resource development prior to children's discharge.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with medical care providers.
- Attend meetings and represent the medical needs of children.
- Coordinate medical resources for employees and resource family homes.
- Adhere to Child Abuse and reporting requirements.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor department employees.
- Participate in team decisions and operations.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor’s degree.
Qualifications
- 2+ years working experience in child welfare.
- 1+ years in public health or a healthcare setting with experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care.
- Team player and a desire to work with children, refugees, and underserved populations.
Schedule / Shift
Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
