Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Infusion Specialist responsible for administering IV infusions, performing clinical tasks, and providing patient care and education at a specialized research facility. The role is pivotal in ensuring patients receive top-notch care during infusions.
Key Responsibilities
- Infusion Management: Monitoring and providing comfort care for patients during infusions lasting between 2.5 to 7 hours.
- Clinical Tasks: Performing IV starts, mixing biologic medications using the RX Toolkit, and administering premedications.
- Patient Assessment: Conducting hourly vital sign checks and performing assessments in Epic.
- Hands-on Care: Providing physical assistance to patients needing help ambulating or transferring.
- Administrative Duties: Handling phone triage, appointment scheduling, and managing EMR documentation.
- Patient Education: Educating patients and families about administered drugs using the RX Toolkit.
- Clinic Maintenance: Discontinuing IVs and repeating the process for multiple patients per day across infusion chairs.
Qualifications
- Active RN Licensure in Oklahoma or a compact license with an intent to establish Oklahoma as the home state.
- Expert IV Start Skills: Proficiency in starting IVs is required.
- Infusion Experience: Prior experience with biologic infusions is a top priority.
- Epic EMR Proficiency: Experience with Epic for patient assessments and documentation is preferred.
- Drug Calculations: Ability to perform drug calculations using tools like RX Toolkit.
- Patient Monitoring: Skills in conducting assessments and monitoring vital signs.
- Clinical Autonomy: Ability to manage a patient’s care from intake to discharge.
- Administrative Competence: Comfort with handling non-clinical tasks directly as a nurse.

Schedule/Shift
- Monday through Thursday: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM
