Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to manage inbound calls, collect patient demographic information, and accurately schedule appointments. The goal of this role is to deliver a positive patient experience while maintaining organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound calls to collect patient demographic, insurance, and guarantor information.
- Accurately schedule appointments using internal systems and scheduling matrices.
- Maintain an average of 24 to 28 inbound calls per day, with call durations between 10 to 15 minutes.
- Navigate multiple systems and dashboards efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Follow established scripts and workflows while delivering a positive patient experience.
- Ensure all data is entered correctly and in compliance with organizational standards.
- Adapt to potential workflow changes, including transition to outbound dialing if needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Patient Access background.
- Reliable hardwired internet connection (cable or fiber required).
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues in a home office setup.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and empathetic tone.
- Ability to follow structured processes and meet performance metrics.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Background in call center or customer service environments.
- Experience in healthcare, patient access, or revenue cycle.
Skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology or insurance processes.
- Highly organized and systems-oriented.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Consistently reliable with strong attendance and accountability.
- Able to deliver scripted communication naturally while maintaining a personable approach.
- Comfortable working in a structured, metrics-driven environment.
Additional Requirements
- Training: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM MST
- Working Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM MST
