Job Summary

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Health Physician to provide exceptional patient care within an urgent care environment. The role involves leading by example, enhancing processes for an optimal patient experience, collaborating with therapists and specialists, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Provide direct patient care, leading by example, and enhancing processes to minimize visit times.
• Act as the Primary Treating Physician (PTP) for all injuries, collaborating with therapists and specialists.
• Manage clinicians and support staff, ensuring compliance with supervisory requirements for PA/NPs.
• Create a professional working environment promoting teamwork and patient safety.
• Implement changes for continuous clinical improvement and efficiency.
• Ensure efficiency in clinical systems, documentation, coding, and patient care orders.
• Comply with State Practice Act/Rules and Regulations/WC Regulations.
• Communicate with employers on new injuries and significant clinical changes.
• Participate in team meetings to improve quality, patient safety, and case management.
• Maintain relationships with clients and payers, responding to requests within 24 hours.
• Manage staffing levels and optimize patient satisfaction and workflows.
• Support colleague success through the talent life cycle.
• Foster an environment of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
• Promote center initiatives and workflows consistent with other centers.
• Provide input to center budget and key business metrics.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. degree and an unrestricted California medical license (or license in progress).

Qualifications

• Must meet all licensure requirements for the applicable state of practice.
• Board certified or board eligible through ABPM, ABFM, AOA, or the applicable state medical board, in accordance with state laws and scope of practice.
• Active DEA registration required.
• Current BLS and AED certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Experience in Occupational Health or Urgent Care is preferred.

Schedule / Shift

Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm
