Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse to provide direct patient care in a center setting. The role involves leading by example to enhance processes, improve patient experience, and work collaboratively with therapists and specialists to drive clinical outcomes. As the Primary Treating Physician, the candidate will ensure the center's day-to-day operations, including compliance with state regulations and optimal clinical efficiencies.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Spend 100% of time providing direct patient care to create exceptional patient experiences.
- Lead as the Primary Treating Physician, working with therapists and specialists to expedite optimal clinical results and case closures.
- Manage clinicians and support staff, ensuring compliance with supervisory requirements.
- Cultivate a collaborative working environment promoting teamwork, quality, and patient safety.
- Identify and implement changes for continuous improvement and efficiency in clinical procedures.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and clinical documentation systems.
- Engage with employers on new injuries and clinical changes.
- Participate in team meetings to enhance quality, patient safety, and case management.
- Develop relationships with center clients and respond to requests promptly.
- Manage staffing levels and proficiencies to optimize patient satisfaction and workflow efficiencies.
- Support colleague success through talent development initiatives.
- Maintain financial awareness and provide input into the center's budget and business metrics.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Unrestricted California medical license (or license in progress).
- Active DEA registration required.
- Current BLS and AED certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Qualifications
- Must meet all licensure requirements for the applicable state of practice.
- Board certified or board eligible through ABPM, ABFM, AOA, or the applicable state medical board.
Skills
- Occupational Health and Urgent Care experience preferred.
Schedule / Shift
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
