## Job Summary
Our client is seeking an IR Technologist responsible for promoting patient safety, comfort, and dignity in the radiology department. The role involves effective communication of procedures, prioritizing workflow based on patient conditions, and promoting a supportive environment. The technologist will also operate imaging equipment, maintain a sterile technique, and ensure image quality.
## Responsibilities
- Promotes patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout their time in the radiology department
- Communicates procedures and post-procedure instructions clearly to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation
- Prioritizes workflow based on patient condition to support efficient throughput and timely care
- Fosters a supportive environment that builds patient trust and confidence
- Reviews patient satisfaction and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and contributes to process enhancements
- Adheres to OSHA regulations and consistently applies universal precautions
- Maintains a clean and safe environment by sanitizing exam areas between patients
- Ensures availability of clean linens, including gowns, sheets, and towels
- Responds promptly to spills and potential hazards using proper safety protocols
- Stores equipment appropriately when not in use to maintain organization and safety
- Collaborates effectively with team members to support patient care and departmental goals
- Communicates professionally and proactively with colleagues
- Participates in and contributes to team meetings and departmental initiatives
- Operates imaging equipment safely and in accordance with established standards
- Maintains sterile technique and ensures proper setup of equipment and fields
- Adjusts imaging parameters to achieve optimal image quality
- Completes routine equipment checks, including warm-up and quality control procedures
- Follows established protocols to capture accurate diagnostic images
- Evaluates image quality and determines the need for repeat imaging when necessary
## Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
### Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program resulting in certification OR graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist Program and currently registered by ARRT
## Qualifications
- Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiology - RT(R) - Required
- IV Credentialed - Preferred
## Experience
- 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
