Job Summary
Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Clinic Medical Assistant to provide exceptional clinical and administrative support. This role focuses on rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting providers, managing referrals, scheduling, and handling insurance matters. The position emphasizes quality care over productivity, with a capped patient volume for physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform approximately 50% clinical responsibilities: rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting providers.
- Handle approximately 50% administrative tasks: referrals, prior authorizations, scheduling, insurance, and phone calls.
- Ensure a focus on quality care with a patient volume of 15–20 per clinic, capped at 10–12 patients/day for physicians.
Qualifications
- DOH Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or MA-C).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
- Comfortable working in a primary care setting.
- Experience in phlebotomy and primary care or similar specialty such as Emergency Room (ER).
- Experience with EPIC/MyChart or other EMR systems is preferred.
- Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly EPIC/MyChart, is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no patient appointments from 12 PM to 1 PM
