Job Summary
Our client is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced OBGYN practice. This role is the clinical backbone of the patient experience, working closely with providers to ensure high-quality care during prenatal visits, gynecological exams, and minor in-office procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories/medication lists in the EMR.
- Assist providers with pelvic exams, pap smears, colposcopies, biopsies, and IUD insertions/removals.
- Assist with prenatal charting, Fetal Non-Stress Tests (NSTs), and compassionate education to expectant parents.
- Perform blood draws, administer injections, and collect/process lab specimens.
- Manage prior authorizations, sanitize exam rooms, and ensure clinical supplies are stocked.
- Act as a liaison between the patient and the physician, relaying lab results and answering inquiries.
Qualifications
- 2 years of outpatient experience.
- Preferred experience in OBGYN, Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or Primary care.
- CMA License required
Schedule
Monday to Thursday: 8am-4:30pm.
Friday: 8am-2:30pm, but staff are paid until 3:30pm.
