Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant responsible for managing cash flow, maintaining the general ledger, supporting month-end closing, and ensuring data integrity across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash Recalibration & Balancing: Ensure "cash on hand" matches "cash in bank" by matching physical or digital receipts to bank statements.
- Expense Management: Enter high-volume expenses into Accounts Payable and ensure they are coded to the correct General Ledger accounts.
- Subsidiary Accounting: Manage books for specific entities such as the Gift Shop and the Foundation, handling specialized retail and non-profit entries.
- Month-End Support: Assist the CFO with closing the books by preparing and posting journal entries to the GL.
- Multi-System Data Sync: Move data between, or reconcile data across, Lawson and QuickBooks.
Qualifications
- Experience navigating Lawson’s AP and GL modules.
- Ability to manage a set of books end-to-end within QuickBooks.
- 3+ years of Accounting experience.
- Advanced experience in bank reconciliation.
- A deep understanding of General Ledger logic.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
