Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Physician Assistant to perform a variety of medical services including history and physical examinations, providing treatment and documentation for diseases, responding to pharmacy inquiries, and offering health education. The role also involves participating in provider meetings, training staff, and ensuring quality assurance activities are upheld.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Perform history and physical exams on adults and children, including physical exams, Pap smears, and breast examinations.
- Counsel for birth control and prescribe as appropriate.
- Gather complete medical histories and execute physical exams on clients.
- Prescribe medications according to supervising physician directives.
- Review lab tests, diagnostic imaging, and arrange follow-ups as necessary.
- Assist and provide back-up for nursing director and medical director.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas, and adhere to safety and health policies.
- Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality of medical records.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- National Certification as a Physician Assistant.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' experience in the field.
- Knowledge of nursing process and medical model.
- Bilingual Spanish/English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform emergency resuscitation and knowledge of medical diagnosis.
- Skill in establishing effective working relationships and leading clinic operations.
Schedule / Shift
Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
