Job Title: Mobile Phlebotomist (Float Role)
Location: Cleveland, TN (Regional Travel Required)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and adaptable Mobile Phlebotomist to support multiple clinical partner sites throughout the Cleveland, TN region. This float role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and is comfortable traveling to different locations to provide coverage where needed.
As a key representative of the laboratory, you will deliver high-quality patient care while performing specimen collection and processing in accordance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Coverage & Specimen Collection
- Travel to various clinical sites (typically within a 2-hour radius) to provide coverage as needed
- Perform venipuncture and collect non-blood specimens (urine, fecal, etc.) accurately and efficiently
- Create a calm and professional environment to ensure a positive patient experience
- Dispose of biohazard materials and sharps in compliance with all safety regulations
Processing & Documentation
- Enter patient demographics, insurance, and billing information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Verify test orders, diagnosis codes, and physician information with clinical staff
- Prepare specimens for transport, including centrifuging, labeling, splitting, and freezing
- Ensure all samples meet proper temperature and handling requirements
- Research test requirements to maintain specimen integrity
Administrative & Professionalism
- Maintain accurate daily logs and patient records
- Assist with monthly reporting and volume tracking
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
- Maintain a clean and professional workspace
- Assist with inventory management and report supply needs
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all PPE and laboratory safety protocols
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information (HIPAA compliance)
- Adhere to all corporate compliance and privacy policies
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- Valid Driver’s License and active auto insurance
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in different clinical environments
Preferred
- Phlebotomy Certification
- Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or related clinical training
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel within a 2-hour radius of Cleveland, TN
- Mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile
- Flexibility for occasional overnight travel if needed
