Job Title: Mobile Phlebotomist (Float Role)
Location: Cordova, TN (Regional Travel Required)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary
We are hiring a Mobile Phlebotomist to support multiple clinic locations throughout the Cordova, TN area. This is a float position, meaning you’ll travel to various partner clinics to provide coverage, assist with patient volume, and ensure high-quality specimen collection services.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in different clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Coverage & Specimen Collection
- Travel to multiple clinic sites (typically within a 2-hour radius) to provide coverage as needed
- Perform venipuncture and collect non-blood specimens (urine, fecal, etc.) following standard procedures
- Create a calm and professional experience for patients during collections
- Properly dispose of biohazard materials and sharps in compliance with safety regulations
Processing & Documentation
- Enter patient demographics, insurance, and billing information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Verify test orders, diagnosis codes, and physician details with clinic staff
- Process specimens (centrifuging, labeling, splitting, freezing) according to test requirements
- Prepare and package specimens for transport while maintaining proper temperature and handling standards
- Research test requirements to ensure specimen integrity
Administrative & Professionalism
- Maintain accurate daily logs and patient records
- Assist with reporting and volume tracking
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
- Maintain a clean and professional workspace
- Assist with inventory tracking and supply management
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all PPE and laboratory safety protocols
- Protect patient information in accordance with HIPAA
- Adhere to all company compliance and privacy policies
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- Valid Driver’s License and active auto insurance
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in different clinic environments
Preferred
- Phlebotomy Certification
- Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or related healthcare training
Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel within a 2-hour radius of Cordova, TN
- Mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile
- Flexibility for occasional overnight travel if needed
