Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team. The primary responsibilities include managing both front and back office tasks, ensuring smooth operations within the facility, and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Comfortable covering both front and back office duties.
- Taking vitals and handling patient intake.
- Preparing charts and assisting with vaccines and injections.
- Performing spirometry, EKG, and point of care testing (Flu, Strep, COVID, A1C etc.).
- Providing support in an ambulatory care setting with 8 providers and managing approximately 20 patients daily.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience, but candidates with new grad status will be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a relevant field.
- Experience with Athena is preferred.
Skills
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in taking vitals, patient intake, chart preparation, administering vaccines and injections, spirometry, EKG, and conducting point of care tests.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
