Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Clinical Assistant/Medical Assistant to join their team. This position is a balanced role involving both clinical (approximately 50%) and administrative (approximately 50%) responsibilities, focusing on high-quality patient care with a manageable patient volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage clinical tasks such as rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting providers.
- Handle administrative duties including referrals, prior authorizations, scheduling, and insurance-related tasks.
- Maintain patient volume at 15–20 per clinic, ensuring quality of care is prioritized over productivity.
Qualifications
- Possession of a DOH Certified Medical Assistant credential (CMA or MA-C).
- Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
- Ability to provide documentation/attestation for COVID and Hep B vaccinations.
- Comfortable working in a primary care setting, which is prioritized.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with EPIC/MyChart or other EMR systems.
- Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.
- Up to 12 months of post-certification experience; openness to candidates with less experience depending on the clinic.
- Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
