Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle who will act as a "Change Agent" for designated hospitals, ASCs, and clinics. The primary responsibilities include liaising between local facility leadership and national operations, driving financial performance by eliminating waste, managing denial trends, implementing recovery strategies, and overseeing revenue cycle health for both Inpatient and Outpatient service lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a "Change Agent" for 1–6 designated hospitals, ASCs, and clinics.
- Liaise between local facility leadership and national operations as a "trusted advisor."
- Drive financial performance by eliminating waste and optimizing the end-to-end revenue cycle.
- Manage denial trends and implement aggressive recovery strategies.
- Oversee revenue cycle health for both Inpatient and Outpatient service lines.
- Collaborate with senior directors to standardize RCM workflows across the region.
Qualifications
- Hospital RCM Experience: Must have a background in a hospital/acute care setting (Inpatient billing preferred).
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with Meditech and Cerner.
- Geographic Proximity: Must live in the West or Central US (TX, KS, ID, MT, NE etc.) near a major airport.
- Travel: Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% to sites (MT, NE, TX, ID).
- Performance Metrics: Proven track record of improving KPIs (AR days, denial rates, POS collections).
Skills
- Proficiency in using Power BI to build frameworks that increase visibility into denial trends and reimbursement efficiency.
- Proven track record of implementing Lean or data-driven workflow improvements to reduce registration errors and patient check-in times.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Requirements
- Standard business hours: M-F. Equipment Provided.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% (up to 10 days/month).
