Location: Austin TX
Facility: ARA Diagnostic Imaging - Outpatient Facility
- Pay for Travel: $2300 - $2450/Week Gross
- Pay for Local: ~$40 - $50/hr
Duration: 13 Week Contract (Opportunity to Extend)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm CST
- No Weekends! No Evenings!

Facility Overview:

One of the largest radiology groups in the country, with 110+ radiologists representing all subspecialties, ARA is a member of Radiology Partners.
- ARA serves 24 hospitals and operates 17 outpatient imaging centers (and growing) in Central Texas. We are partnered with Dell Medical School at the University of Texas and many of our radiologists serve on the faculty.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs all mammographic procedures, according to the Department Procedure Manual.
- Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the radiologic procedure.
- Performs and maintains all quality assurance records/controls required by ACR, the State and any other credentialing organizations as required by law.
- Identifies proper anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper identification on all images.
- Practices radiation safety by applying AARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principals.
- Diagnostic and Screen Mammograms (except for Southwood location: Screening only). Assist with General xrays as well.
- Patient Populations: All ages

- Hologic
- Scans/Day: ~15 Scans per day
Required Skills
- Graduate of recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) in Mammography. State certification by the Texas Medical Board (T.M.B.)
- Not Required: 2 years of experience
