Job Summary
Our client seeks an Audiovisual Technician who will serve as the technical lead for all audiovisual (AV) and collaboration technologies within a healthcare/hospital environment. This high-stakes role is critical for ensuring smooth clinical training, board meetings, and live-streamed medical events. The candidate will also act as an escalation point for complex issues and mentor junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary escalation point for AV failures, taking charge during technical difficulties in meetings.
- Partner with IT, Facilities, and Vendors to design and commission new collaborative spaces.
- Manage live-streaming and video production for high-priority hospital events.
- Provide direction and oversight to junior staff members.
- Adhere to strict healthcare protocols, including HIPAA and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics, IT, or Audio Engineering.
- 3–5 years of AV experience in high-uptime environments such as hospitals, universities, or corporate enterprises.
- Proficiency in Zoom, MS Teams, and Webex for hybrid events/webinars.
- Experience with Crestron control systems, Cisco Telepresence, and AV-over-IP networking.
- Technical literacy in reading signal flow diagrams, schematics, and other technical documents.
- Preferred certifications include CTS, Dante Level 1–2, or AQAV CQD.
Skills
- Hands-on technical skills related to AV equipment and systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to empathize with non-technical clinical staff.
- Flexibility and ability to work outside standard hours for "Go-Live" events or meetings.
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability in high-pressure scenarios.

- Ability to work 100% onsite across multiple hospital campuses.
