Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Hospitalist to manage a high-dollar portfolio and ensure the optimization of accounts receivable in a hospital setting. Key responsibilities include high-dollar portfolio management with bi-monthly follow-ups, claims resolution and appeals, reporting and contract analytics, and fostering patient and customer relations. The role is critical to optimize financial performance and meet targeted "days receivable" benchmarks.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Manage a specialized portfolio of high-dollar accounts with regular follow-ups.
- Meet or exceed targeted "days receivable" benchmarks for all assigned payers.
- Research and resolve complex account disputes efficiently.
- Prepare reports for stop-loss reimbursement and update threshold provision listings.
- Audit accounts to ensure payments and adjustments align with contract terms.
- Lead non-government AR projects and ensure clean data for management presentations.
- Explain complex financial policies to patients and resolve account inquiries effectively.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in hospital or large-group medical collections/accounts receivable.
- Advanced knowledge of DRG, Per Diem, and Contract-based reimbursement models.
- Strong understanding of healthcare authorization requirements and reimbursement regulations.
- Experience with Meditech is preferred.
- Familiarity with complex claims and both government and commercial payer experience is preferred.
Skills
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage high-dollar accounts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High degree of accuracy in auditing payments and document management.
Schedule / Shift
8:30am - 5:00pm, 5 days a week onsite.
