Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to work closely with a doctor. The primary responsibilities include patient work-ups, medical history collection, and preparation of necessary medications. This role is essential in ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient work-ups, including medical and eye history collection.
- Conduct eye checks, manage paperwork, and take necessary photographs.
- Work closely with the doctor, ensuring all preparations are complete before patient meetings.
- Handle 20-25 patients per day, spending approximately 12-15 minutes per patient.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in Retina, Optometry, Medical Assistant, or CNA roles.
- Understanding of medical and eye history is essential.
Skills
- Attention to detail and reliability are crucial due to high patient volume.
- A strong willingness to learn and the opportunity for growth into more advanced roles.
Additional Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required for occasional travel for training or emergencies, with mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate.
