Overview of Responsibilities:
- Manage a workload of 12–15 patients per day across a variety of clinical settings.
- Diagnose and treat malnutrition using nutrition support, including TPN (3-in-1 compounding) and enteral feeds.
- Utilize critical thinking to manage complex, high-acuity medical patients.
- Float between two local facilities to provide coverage.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in daily morning huddle meetings to redistribute workloads.
- Document patient care and navigate through the Epic EMR system.
Schedule/Shift: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
- Shifts typically run 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Includes a rotating weekend schedule.
- Flexible weekdays off during the weeks a weekend shift is worked.
- Schedules are posted 4–6 weeks in advance for easy planning.
Pay: $38 - $48 an hour (Dependent on experience)
Requirements:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification through the CDR.
- Washington State Certified Dietitian license (or ability to obtain before start).
- Recent Acute Care experience is required (must be able to hit the ground running after a short orientation).
- Ability to work at a high-acuity facility and manage complex medical cases.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with Epic EMR is highly preferred.
- Previous experience with TPN and nutrition support in a hospital setting.
- Strong collaborative spirit and ability to adapt to changing team needs.
- Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary rounds.
Contract Length:
520 Hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.
